Since becoming the President & CEO of Executive Resume in 1997, Sam Collins has led a medium-sized regional operation to national prominence, and has secured its reputation as being one of the country’s leading producers of strategic, high-impact executive resumes. Over the course of his tenure, Sam has worked with thousands of C-level executives, and has been characterized as an extremely knowledgeable professional possessing the ability to assist clients, regardless of their situation, develop effective job-transition strategies designed to help them achieve their career goals.
Prior to joining the firm, Sam’s career included a number of progressively more responsible HR positions in both service and manufacturing companies with revenues ranging from $50 million to nearly $2 billion annually. After achieving the top position as theChief Human Resources Officer, most of his time was directed towards key organizational development initiatives that included the design of a more responsive infrastructure, the implementation of new performance enhancement programs, the integration and alignment of human resources following corporate acquisitions, and the formulation and execution of large-scale change initiatives in support of strategic growth plans.
Sam received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance, followed by a Master of Science in Business Administrationdegree in marketing, with a perfect 4.0 grade point average, from Temple University. He also received a Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis on human resource management from the LeBow College of Business at Drexel University. He is an active supporter of his alumni associations, and has served as a respected Adjunct Faculty member in the business schools at Temple University, Rutgers University and Widener University.
Over a period of two years, Sam was also the Executive Producer and Host of a popular 30-minute weekly television talk show calledThe Job Hunter, which aired on both WWAC-TV and DUTV in the Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey markets. In addition, he has made numerous appearances on ABC’s Emmy-winning television program, America’s TV Job Network, and has been a frequent speaker at major universities and national job fairs providing guidance on such topics as executive resume writing, job-search strategies, interviewing, and negotiating executive compensation.
